Whats the best way to prepare a hot dog?

We Asked Oscar Mayer, what is the best way to prepare the Oscar Mayer Hot Dog and this is what they told us!!

GRILLING

Warm to medium heat. Grill for 7 to 9 minutes, or until heated through, turning occasionally. When hot dogs are done on the grill, remove all at once to avoid overcooking.

PANINI GRILLING

Warm to medium heat. Grill for 7 to 9 min. or until heated through.

Pro Tip

Place hot dogs at diagonal on the grill to help stay in place. Plus, the grill marks make it more official anyway.

STOVE TOP

Add up to 10 hot dogs in a saucepan of boiling water. Return to boil; cover. Remove from heat and let sit 7 minutes or until heated through.

MICROWAVE

Place 1 hot dog on a paper towel. Microwave on HIGH 15 to 20 seconds, or until heated through.

BAKING

Heat oven to 350°F. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place up to 10 hot dogs on a cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes, or until heated through, turning occasionally.

BROILING

Set oven to broil setting. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Place up to 10 hot dogs on cookie sheet. Place hot dogs in the oven on the top shelf. Broil 10 minutes, or until hot dogs start to brown and are heated through, turning occasionally.

TOASTER OVEN

Line toaster oven tray with aluminum foil. Heat oven to 350°F. Add 3 to 4 diagonal cuts on each hot dog that are about 1/4-inch deep. Cook 7 to 9 minutes, or until heated through, turning occasionally.

Pro Tip

Don’t puncture hot dogs when cooking. The juices will run out and make for a tough, dry hot dog.

STORAGE

Good to freeze for up to 3 months. With most standard cooking methods, hot dogs can go straight from the freezer to the pot or grill.

Store unopened packages in the refrigerator and consume by the manufacturer’s use-by date. Opened packages may be stored in a sealed plastic bag in the refrigerator and used within 3 days of opening.

MMMMMM – deliciousness!!!
