3 Fudge Recipes That Are Unique and Absolutely Heavenly!

There are certainly a lot of tasty temptations this time of year, but let’s be honest- Fudge is definitely one of the ultimate indulgences. I have to be careful when I make fudge- because I go through it way too fast if it’s just sitting at home in my fridge! Which is why Christmas is the best time to make it- because I can make some, taste some of the heavenly deliciousness I just made, and then gift the rest to my neighbors so I don’t have to worry about my waistline;).

I also love giving fudge to my neighbors because it lasts longer than a couple days! When I bake cookies, I have to stress about getting them all to my neighbors by the next day, or they’ll just be hard and nasty. And as the receiver, when you receive a bunch of cookies from several different neighbors… you just can’t eat them all before they go bad. I feel bad, but inevitably every year we throw out a plate or 2 or cookies that just didn’t get eaten in time! (And yes, we could freeze them, but honestly I don’t always have the foresight to be on top of it like that ;) ).

Anyway- fudge is a GREAT neighbor gift, holiday treat, and decadent sweet. But not just any fudge will do- you need some real show-stoppers, right?

I have included 3 of my favorite fudge recipes that are all unique, different, and extremely addictive ;). You could make all 3 and give your neighbors little samples of each flavor, or make a whole bunch of one flavor for all your holiday parties! Either way- you’ll thank me ;).

The first is a cookie dough fudge that is AMAZING. Admittedly, if you’re not a fan of cookie dough, you probably won’t be a huge fan of this particular fudge. But if you’re like me and LOVE all things cookie dough, this fudge is to die for! I’ve made this fudge a few times, and trust me- you want to use salted butter. I’ve tried it with unsalted butter and the flavor just isn’t the same. Salted butter is definitely the way to go on this one ;). And don’t feel like you have to use mini chocolate chips! I’ve used regular chocolate chips- and it just makes me feel even more like I’m eating actual cookie dough. SO GOOD.

This second fudge definitely is a perfect Christmastime fudge. Peppermint Oreo! Oreo just might be one of my favorite flavors, and paired with the peppermint and chocolate it’s just absolutely perfect. This one is seriously addicting, so be wary of making it if you don’t have someone around to help you eat it ;). I also love how BEAUTIFUL this fudge turns out. A beautiful pink with chunks of peppermint Andes and Oreos- it’s a showstopper in presentation AND in taste!

The last fudge is simple- but don’t let that fool you! One of my favorite candy bars is Hershey’s Symphony Bars. I LOVE the flavor of the chocolate! This Symphony Bar fudge tastes JUST like it, just a richer, fudgier version ;). And if you’re not a fan of the Symphony bars, the beauty of this particular fudge recipe is that it will take the flavor of whatever chocolate bar you use! Cadbury, Lindt- indulge in whatever your favorite chocolate bar is! A simple recipe, but a goodie!!
