Let's Trade: Cook'n Magazine for Time-Savings Tips!

How would you like one of the very best cooking magazines ever published, for FREE? All you need to do is send me your best time-saving tip and I'll send you a copy of this beautiful, no-longer-available magazine. It's filled with 51 scrumptious recipes and the most gorgeous photography you've ever seen.

My co-editor, Jeanne Wolfley, and I spent a year in a test kitchen with one of the best food photographers ever, Kaycee Leishman, developing recipes that rated 5-stars every time. For instance, here are just a few of the recipes included:

  • Apple and Avocado Salad (with fresh citrus dressing)
  • Apple Raisin Strata
  • Brown Sugar Crumble
  • Cranberry Pecan Squash
  • Creamy Chicken Stew
  • Dinner in a Squash
  • Foolproof Pie Crust
  • Fresh Pesto Lasagna
  • Garlic Parmesan Spread
  • Kielbasa Tin Foil Dinner
  • Layered Zucchini Parmigiana
  • Simply Sweet Potato Pie
  • Slow-Cooked Artichoke Chicken
  • Tomato Bread
  • Towering Carrot Cake
  • Vegetable Bacon Quiche
  • Zucchini Gratin

As you can see from many of the recipe titles, this issue focuses on more hearty, cold-weather eating. This is our Fall/Winter recipe collection and many of the recipes would be perfect additions to your Thanksgiving dinner menu.

We've also included recipes for those days when you need to whip up a dinner in a flash, food the entire family will enjoy. And we haven't forgotten the need for healthy meals; you'll find recipes for smart eating-whether it's a snack, a side, or an entrée.

But back to the reason I'm giving this terrific cooking magazine away: I'm in the process of researching cooking, baking, and household management time-saving tips for an article I plan to write for a December Cook'n Club Newsletter issue. The purpose behind this theme is that most of us would probably like some help in doing things quicker and easier, especially in December, one of the busiest months of the year.

So as mentioned above, I'm inviting you to contribute to this article. Cook'n Club readers are some of the most accomplished and most organized cooks out there, so my thought is "Why not ask the best to share the best?"

Now if this invitation strikes your fancy, take a few minutes and send me an email with your favorite time-saving tip (cook, baking, or otherwise). I'm at alice@dvo.com And please don't hesitate, thinking "Oh, my idea's nothing special. Everyone probably knows or does this…" While a few might know THIS, and more might know THAT, there's no one that knows EVERYTHING.

Finally, don't delay. I've got a Cook'n Magazine sitting here with your name on it and I can hardly wait to hear from you!
