Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

Serves: 6

  Download this recipe.

Brownie mix of your choice - Can use microwave brownies
3 cups strawberries
2 to 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 pint vanilla ice cream to 1 quart
3/4 cup chocolate syrup purchased
1 cup frozen whipped topping thawed, or whipped cream

At least 1 1/2 hours before serving, prepare brownies according to package directions; let cool. You will need only six square or rectangular pieces-eat the rest later!

Reserve six whole berries for garnish; halve remaining berries and place in a medium bowl. Sprinkle with powdered sugar; set aside.

To assemble, place six brownies in shallow dessert dishes or on individual plates. Top each with a scoop of ice cream. Spoon on berries, drizzle with syrup, and add a dollop of whipped topping. Garnish with reserved berries.
