Dessert for a Crowd

Our family has recently started consistently hosting youth group events in our home, and I am responsible for dessert! My go to classic is Texas sheet cake, but I want a few more home run group desserts in my back pocket. I went to Pinterest in search of some ideas, and boy did Pinterest deliver!

  1. Pound cake with berries and whipped cream!
You can make or buy the pound cake in a pinch, just be sure you make the whipping cream fresh! Cutting the berries will be time intensive, but that’s really the only part that requires any prep work for a colorful, sweet and memorable dessert!

  2. Scotcharoos
These are like rice krispie treats, but way better!

  3. Fry Bread with Toppings
This is more of an experience based dessert, since you make the fry bread hot and fresh, and each person gets to dress their own.

  4. Specialty Cookies
Sugar cookies like a swig knock off sugar cookie or a large walnut chocolate reminiscent of Levain Bakery in New York. These are a big impact dessert, and a couple dozen can feed a crowd!

  5. Brookie Pie and ice cream!
This brookie (brownie/cookie) pie by Mel is to die for! Something a little different like this is a fun taste and memory for groups of people. When I serve things like this at parties, some people always opt for just ice cream, which is okay too!

What are your favorite desserts to serve a crowd? Easy enough but fancy enough to be special? Thanks for sharing your ideas in the comments!
