Delicious, 2-Ingredient Ranch Dip

I am pretty good at eating my vegetables. My husband asked me the other day if there were any vegetables I don’t like and I honestly couldn’t think of a single one that I hate. There are some that I prefer cooked, others I prefer raw. I’m not a huge fan of most canned vegetables, but overall, I really do like to eat my veggies.

My favorite way to eat most vegetables is raw with some kind of dip. I discovered my favorite dip last summer while at a picnic with my friend, Cindy. Cindy opened up a small Tupperware container and said, “You have to try this!” So, I grabbed a carrot and dipped it in what looked like ranch dressing. It was ranch alright, but so much better than the bottled stuff. She went on to tell me how easy was to make. It was made with only 2 ingredients: cottage cheese and a ranch dressing packet... This was something I had to go home and make for myself!

The BEST Ranch Dip

24 oz container of cottage cheese (I prefer the Daisy brand)

1 packet of dry ranch dressing

Directions:

Put the whole container of cottage cheese in a blender. Add the ranch dressing packet. Blend at a medium speed for about 30 seconds or until smooth. Serve with your favorite raw veggies.

In addition to being a delicious alternative to bottled ranch dressings, this dip is so much healthier! A serving of cottage cheese contains 13 grams of protein whereas a serving of most bottled ranch dressings has no protein at all. Bottled ranch dressings usually contain some kind of vegetable oil, preservatives, and other processed ingredients that aren’t so great for us. Cottage cheese is just cottage cheese! I especially love the Daisy brand because the only listed ingredients are cultured skim milk, cream, and salt.

I hope you will give this recipe a try! How do you like to eat your veggies?
