French Press Cappuccino

Better than the $5 cappuccino at a coffee shop. Using the French press for frothing the hot milk makes it silky smooth.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup of your favorite, good quality, coffee beans (use 1 rounded tablespoon ground coffee per cup of coffee)

Directions:

Heat milk in a medium saucepan until warmed through- but do not boil. While the milk is being heated grind the coffee beans in the coffee grinder. Add the freshly ground coffee to your French press. Add hot boiling water to fill the French press half way full. Add the lid/filter assembly, but don't press down yet. Let it steep for 3 to 4 minutes then slowly press the plunger down in a steady, even manner. Pour the coffee into your cup(s). Rinse out the French press with hot water.

Remove milk from heat and pour into the French press. Add the lid/filter assembly and froth the milk until the foam holds, about1 minute. Pour the cups and spoon the frothed milk on top of coffee. Serve immediately.

Serve with your favorite sweetener, if desired.
