_ 1/2 cups butter softened
_ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
_ tablespoons hot water
About 45 minutes before using:
In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat butter until fluffy. At low speed, beat in sugar. Increase speed to high and continue beating for 3 minutes or until mixture is very fluffy. Add vanilla. Beat in water 1 tablespoon at a time, scraping bowl and beating well after each addition. Beat 2 minutes longer or until sugar is dissolved. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until buttercream is of spreading consistency. Use in Café Pavé or to frost cake of your choice.
