More Than Just Good Luck

My sister and I love to go crazy for St. Patrick's Day and come up with cute food to serve to our families! Sometimes it's green, sometimes it's rainbow, but it's always tasty;).

This year I thought I would do something a little different and focus on shamrocks and four leaf clovers! Here are some of many ways you could incorporate this cute theme into your St. Patrick's Day activities:).

*Rice Krispie treats come to the rescue yet again;). Is there anything they can't do? Shape them into shamrocks and drizzle with green candy melts or dip them in all the way;).

*3 pretzels cleverly placed look very much like a shamrock! Dip in green candy melts and add a stick for a darling shamrock that will almost be too cute to eat (but not quite haha;) ).

*Cupcakes or cakes would be very easy to turn festive. Just use a small frosting tip and draw a shamrock on each cupcake or several on one cake!

*You could take this a step further with the cupcakes- add 3 marbles with each cupcake to actually bake a shamrock! Or cut your cake in the shape of a shamrock;).

*Green M&M's could also take you pretty far;). Place 3 on a small cupcake with a little line of frosting on the bottom to create a shamrock; or use one pretzel, cover in melted chocolate (or one Hershey's kiss and bake in the oven til melted, if you really want to make it easy;) ), and place a green M&M over each section to create a sweet/salty treat:).

*Cut off the bottom of a green pepper. Add a slice of green pepper and you have a healthier version of a four leaf clover;).

*Oreo Truffle shamrocks. Oreo truffles are another great versatile dessert that can be made into almost anything! Just shape them and dip them like you would the rice krispies:).

* Use little cucumber sandwiches, a slice of green pepper, and a parsley leaf to create these amazingly tasty and cute sandwiches! I am seriously dying over these.

*If you have a shamrock cookie cutter, there are several things you could try. Cut apple slices, cookies, tortillas (and make tortilla chips!), cantaloupe, etc.

*If you're good with a pen;), draw your own shamrock and make this cute peek-a-boo cake!

I love the concept of shamrocks- what ideas do you have to incorporate them into your St. Patrick's festivities? I would love to hear all about them! Share in the comments below:).
