Take Your Ice Cream to the Next Level

Summer seems to be all about getting together and having fun! And it seems that birthday parties are a frequent occurrence in the summertime! I’ve recently stumbled on some very cute ice cream desserts that are not only tasty, but absolutely adorable! They would be perfect for any upcoming birthday party, back to school party, or any event where you want the dessert to have a little wow factor. These would be fun for kids and adults alike;). And they’ve got ice cream, so they’ll help you keep cool, too, right? ;)

Make Your Own Ice Cream Sandwiches- This would be a fun activity if you let kids make their own. Have a variety of cookies set out (chocolate chip, Oreos, Snickerdoodles, etc), and let everyone create their own deliciousness. You could also have sprinkles, M&M’s, etc set out so kids can roll their sandwiches in them to make an extra special masterpiece! I love these cute little vanilla wafer sandwiches! So cute and tasty!

Cup of Dirt - We’ve probably had a chance to eat a “cup of dirt” with chocolate pudding. For a cooler summer version, use chocolate ice cream instead of the pudding- or do both;). Sprinkle with crushed Oreos and gummy worms.

Ice Cream Owls- These little birds look absolutely adorable- and all you need are Oreos and M&M’s to create this cute little bird!

Cookie Monster Ice Cream- This recipe seems so easy and fun! What a great way to add a little something extra to a bowl of ice cream! I think my kids would go crazy for some blue ice cream, especially blue cookie monster ice cream!

Add Recipe to Cook'n

Minion Ice Cream - If your kids are a little too old for cookie monster, try this minion variation! The recipe is very similar to the cookie monster recipe- you’ll just be adding yellow food coloring instead of blue, and lots of bananas! I’m pretty sure banana and ice cream were just made to go together;).

Mini Volcanos- Use chocolate ice cream in tiny bundt molds, flip upside down, and load it with strawberry sauce! Don’t forget your crushed Oreos to complete the lava rock look;) (Or some toy dinosaurs if you want to go for a prehistoric theme!)

Ice Cream Tacos- I love this idea because there is so much potential for variety! You could add all kinds of fruit, keep it sweet by adding crushed candies/cookies, or just add sprinkles. You could also vary the “shell” of your taco- crepes, pancakes, waffles, waffle cones, etc.

One of the best things about ice cream desserts is that they are generally pretty easy to put together! Really, all you need to do is add a few basics to already delicious ice cream and you have a cute and unique dessert for everyone to enjoy;). Do you have any fun ways you like to serve ice cream?
