An Out of This World Easy Oreo Recipe You Have Got to Try!

Without a doubt, there is something that is ALWAYS in stock in my pantry. I wouldn't say I'm necessarily proud of this one either. Oreos are one of the only packaged cookies and treats my daughter can eat with her allergies, so they are usually always readily available at our house. I know they really are not good for you, especially with the LONG list of processed ingredients in them, but they sure are tasty and what American can resist Oreos dipped in milk?? Honestly, I love all recipes where Oreos are involved, namely a good cookies and cream ice cream, or my favorite decadent chocolate Oreo truffles. Anyway, recently I have been looking for some different recipes involving Oreos to mix things up in that department, so here is my favorite new Oreo recipe I found and tried that I just LOVED!

Every time I am pregnant I swear the things I crave the most are of course the things I can't have. A big one for me is cookie dough. I am always pathetically sad when I make cookies while pregnant and can't sneak a bite or two of cookie dough. Over the past couple years I have seen tons of eggless cookie dough recipes all over Pinterest, so I definitely have found my solution for that. So what do you get when you combine two American classics: chocolate chip cookie dough and Oreos? Heaven, I tell ya!

This really is one of my favorite desserts now. It is so easy and absolutely sinful! A special shout-out to all my pregnant ladies out there: you're welcome! :)

So here is the breakdown of the recipe. And don't feel like you have to do the whole package of Oreos. This is kind of a general recipe; you can make as few treats and you would like. I hope you love it as much as I did! :)

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos

Ingredients

Edible chocolate chip cookie dough
1 package Oreos
1 cup chocolate chips or candy melts
Sprinkles, optional

Directions

  1. Take an Oreo and carefully twist it to separate the top from the bottom. Spoon 1/2 tablespoon of chocolate chip cookie dough on top of the bottom cookie. Top with the top, and press down slightly to secure the sandwich. Repeat with the rest of the cookies.
  2. Melt chocolate in the microwave, and dip each cookie-dough-stuffed Oreo completely in the chocolate. Use a fork to remove the cookie, and let the excess chocolate drip off. Place on a wax-paper-lined baking sheet, and repeat process with the rest of the cookies. Garnish with sprinkles if desired. Let the chocolate harden before serving.
