Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup flour
1 egg

CINNAMON-SUGAR
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

In a small saucepan, bring butter, sugar and water to a boil. Add flour stirring constantly. Cook until dough pulls away from the sides and forms a ball. Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes. Add egg, beat until smooth. Spoon dough into pastry bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe dough in strips onto a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze 20 minutes or until paper can be peeled off. Do not freeze solid. Fry churros a few at a time in hot oil 375° until golden, turning occasionally. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with Cinnamon-Sugar.
