Fall in Love with Cooking All Over Again with Cook’n’s New Design
In May of last year, we gave the Discover View in Cook’n for iOS a complete makeover. We rebuilt it with all native components, giving it a fresh, crisp look that made browsing recipes more fun than ever.
We added bold red header bars to separate sections and made each section scrollable horizontally so you could swipe through recipes with ease. We polished up the Scoreboard and introduced the new “Trending Captures” section so you could instantly see which recipes were hot that day.
That update was a huge step forward—but we weren’t done yet.
I’m excited to announce that the Cook’n Elves have just finished another round of major improvements...and the Cook’n app looks sexier than ever! Yay!
In the newest version (rolling out this week)...
• Search results have been completely redesigned for faster, easier navigation. Check out the before & after screenshots and notice how much cleaner the search results are. The recipe images are larger and the text is easier to read in the new version...

• Section headers and See More views are now powered by native components. Check out the before & after screenshots of the recipes in the "Captured Just Now" section. As you can see, the recipe images are bigger and brighter and the look & feel is consistent across all screens...

The result? As you can see in the following screen recording, improved navigation makes it easier than ever to find the perfect recipe.
It's a gorgeous, seamless experience that pulls you right into the world of cooking. With distractions removed, it’s easy to forget you’re even using an app—you’re simply immersed in delicious recipes.
At our house, my wife Kathy loves to cook. And the only one who might love it more is her grandson, Evan! Sometimes he’ll stand at the bottom of the stairs and holler for Grandma so they can cook together.
Needless to say, it’s pretty hard to resist that cute little guy. How can you say "no" to that?!! 😂
Kathy even got a special stool so the grandbabies can help at the counter.
"Cooking time" has become "Fun time, filled with laughter, learning, and sometimes a few “creative” surprise ingredients from the kids. 😂
That’s the spirit we hope the newest version of Cook’n brings into your home; an easier, smoother way to discover recipes, and a reminder that cooking isn’t just about food. It’s about family, fun, and making memories.

A Seamless New Experience
Until now, if you used Internet Recipe Search or tapped a red section header (or “See More”), results would appear in an embedded web browser.
