Football Shaped Food for the Super Bowl or Any Party!

The Super Bowl is coming up and you may or may not be busy planning your game day food. Sometimes coming up with the perfect menu is tough! But it doesn’t have to be; even if you’re not a Super Bowl fan, you may have little ones that play flag football or just love sports of any kind! If that’s the case, what better way to serve some delicious food than to do it football-style? You can make all sorts of food look like a football! Here are some easy and fun ways to serve up food- football style!

  • Cheeseballs are great because you can shape them into whatever you want- like a football! You can make a savory cheese ball and coat it with pecans or bacon crumbles. You can also make a sweet cheeseball and cover it in chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, mini oreos, or vanilla wafers.
  • Rice krispie treats are one of my favorite go-tos because they’re easy to shape! You can use regular rice krispies and shape them, or you can use cocoa pebbles to get the brown football color! Just use icing to top them off!
  • Cakes can be easily shaped to a football shape, or you can use frosting to create tasty buttercream footballs on top of cupcakes!
  • Create a charcuterie board with crackers as the star of the show in the middle, laid out in the shape of a football.
  • Oreo truffles are easy to make, super delicious, and would be easy to shape into footballs.
  • Chocolate covered pretzels or strawberries can be decorated with a football design with just a little icing!
  • Use mustard or ketchup on a corn dog or pigs in a blanket to create a football design if you want to serve a savory dish!
  • Mayo can also be used to create a football design; you could do this on a sandwich or on cheese slices layered on top of meat and crackers.
  • Hard boiled eggs can be topped with tiny chive slices to create a football pattern for a protein-packed snack!
  • Oatmeal cookie sandwiches, or really any cookie, could be decorated as a football by using frosting on top. (You can shape them into footballs when they are still warm from coming out of the oven)
  • Pretzels are delicious, and instead of shaping them in typical pretzel fashion, shape them like footballs!
  • Cinnamon rolls would be fairly simple to shape as a football, either collectively or individually. And who doesn’t love cinnamon rolls??
  • You can also serve a dip like guacamole or a 7 layer dip, and spread a cute little football shape on top using refried beans. Just use sour cream in a piping bag to finish the football look!

It’s quite easy to create a football dish using regular, delicious food! These would be perfect for the Super Bowl, flag football snacks, little boy birthday parties or any occasion!
