Leftover Lemons!

I love using fresh lemons. I use them in everything from guacamole to pie to on fish and veggies! But, sometimes I only need half a lemon. What do you do with the other part?

Lemons can be tricky to store! They dry out quickly and become hard to use after that.

So, first, make sure the lemon is clean before you slice it. Since we are often using the peal or zest, clean lemons are a must. Next, fill a small jar or other container you can tightly close partway with water. Put the part of the lemon into the water, and just double check that it is completely submerged.

There you go! These will keep for a few days, and works for lemons and limes. Hope this helps you with your holiday preparations!
