Alfredo Sauce

Serves: 5
Total Calories: 435
Yield: 2 cups


5 ounces Parmesan cheese or 1 cup grated
1 stick butter
1 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
dash pepper


1. Cut the cheese into small cubes.
2. Heat all the ingredients except the cheese in a medium pot over low heat. Simmer for about 2 minutes, or until the butter melts.
3. Add the cheese and gently stir for 5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Do not boil the sauce.
