Susan's Energizing Tonic*

Serves: 2
Total Calories: 4


3 cups water
4 slices (1/4 inch thick) fresh ginger root
4 cinnamon sticks cut into half
1 tablespoon dried peppermint, loost or in a tea bag
1/2 teaspoon cardamom seeds
4 to 5 cloves


1. Place all of the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. Simmer about 10 minutes.
2. Strain the mixture through a strainer. Enjoy hot or cold.
