American Smoothie

Ingredients

WHITE SMOOTHIE:
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup diced banana
1/2 cup Häagen-Dazs Coconut Gelato or favorite vanilla ice cream

RED SMOOTHIE:
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup raspberries
1/2 cup Häagen-Dazs Coconut Gelato or favorite vanilla ice cream
Few drop red food coloring (optional)

BLUE SMOOTHIE:
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup blueberries
1/2 cup Häagen-Dazs Coconut gelato or favorite vanilla ice cream
Few drop blue food coloring (optional)

Directions:

TO MAKE THE WHITE SMOOTHIE
Place the milk, banana, and gelato in a blender and mix on low speed until the mixture is blended. Continue mixing, gradually increasing
the speed, until the mixture is smooth. Transfer the white smoothie to a bowl and set aside.

TO MAKE THE RED SMOOTHIE
Place the milk, raspberries, gelato, and red food coloring (optional) in the blender and mix on low speed until the mixture is blended. Continue mixing, gradually increasing the speed, until the mixture is smooth. Carefully spoon the red smoothie into two wine goblets or glasses, dividing evenly and smoothing the top. Top each with a layer of the white smoothie. Set aside.

TO MAKE THE BLUE SMOOTHIE
Wipe the blender with a paper towel to remove as much of the red smoothie as possible. Once it’s clean, place the milk, blueberries, gelato, and blue food coloring (optional) in the blender and mix on low speed until the mixture is blended. Continue mixing, gradually increasing the speed, until the mixture is smooth. Spoon a layer of the blue smoothie over the white smoothie. Garnish each smoothie with an American flag or raspberries, banana cubes, and blueberries on a skewer, if desired.
