Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent rolls
2 Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and quartered
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup pecans, very finely chopped
1 Optional: ice cream

Directions:

Unroll and separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Wrap each piece of apple in a crescent roll. Arrange in a greased 8"x8" baking pan; sprinkle with cinnamon. Combine butter, sugar and orange juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over dumplings; sprinkle pecans over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, or until crust is golden and beginning to bubble. To serve, spoon some of the syrup from the baking pan over dumplings. Serve with ice cream, if desired.

Tip: Easy-squeezy! Place frosting ingredients in a plastic zipping bag. Squeeze to mix well, then snip off a small corner and squeeze to drizzle over baked goods.
