_Entertaining Tips

Serves: 5

Ingredients

Directions:

Look for festive sombreros at party supply stores...line with brightly colored cloth napkins and serve up tortilla chips in style!

Use mini cookie cutters to cut bread into whimsical croutons...tiny leaves make a harvest dinner fun.

Roll some fresh grapes, strawberries and mandarin oranges in extra-fine sugar for a glittery (and tasty!) garnish.

Sour cream can be mixed with any of the seasoning blends found at the meat counter. Try some different blends for an endless variety of savory dips!

Add a splash of color to sparkling cider and lemonade! Freeze grape or cranberry juice in ice cube trays and add a few to family members' glasses...so pretty!

Host pizza night and make dinnertime fun! Use English muffins, pita rounds, bagels or tortillas for the crust. Set out some ready-made pizza sauce, plenty of cheese and toppings in individual bowls. Everyone can put together their own pizza and play a quick game while they bake.

Need a little something extra on cakes and brownies? Try topping with chopped candy bars! Make chopping a breeze when you wrap them in plastic and freeze for 10 to 15 minutes beforehand.

Anchor layer cakes to serving pedestals with a dab of frosting before starting to decorate. The cake will stay in place making frosting and decorating lots easier!

Chocolate dessert cups are easy to make. Just paint paper muffin cups with melted chocolate, chill until firm and peel off the paper. Serve on a chilled plate so that the cups will keep their shape.

Make ghastly good cupcakes for Halloween! Add shoestring licorice pieces for legs and two chocolate chip eyes to turn chocolate cupcakes into spiders. Kids love 'em!
