Oaxacan-Style Guacamole

Ingredients

2 avocados, ripe
1/4 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 to 3 serrano chile, or jalapeno chiles, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup lime juice, fresh, or more to taste
1/4 cup cilantro, chopped fresh
1/2 teaspoon salt, or more to taste

Directions:

1. Peel, pit, and coarsely chop the avocados. Combine the onion, garlic, and chile in a food processor and process until finely chopped. Add the avocados and process to a purée. Add 1/4 cup lime juice, the cilantro, and 1/2 teaspoon salt and process just to blend. Taste for seasoning, adding lime juice and salt as needed.

2. Transfer the guacamole to an attractive bowl and serve immediately.
