Ingredients

2 cups chicken, cooked, chopped
1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese
1 tablespoon chopped chives
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 cup , crushed, seasoned crouton, crumbs, or bread crumbs
2 (8-ounce) tubes refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1/4 cup margarine, melted

Directions:

In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, chives, milk and salt to taste. Mix in chicken. Place in a 1 quart freezer bag. Place crumb mixture into another 1 quart freezer bag. Attach together with tape. Label and freeze. Refrigerate crescent rolls.

To prepare for serving, thaw chicken mixture. Unroll crescent rolls. Each tube will contain 4 rectangles of dough with a diagonal perforation. Press dough along each perforation so the rectangle halves will not separate. Place about 1/4 cup of chicken mixture into the center of each rectangle. Fold dough over the filling, and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Dip each packet in melted margarine, and coat with crumbs. Place packets on a greased baking sheet. Bake in preheated 350° F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or cold.
