Chili Powder

Ingredients

Directions:

Chili powder is a blend of crushed hot pepper seeds (capsicums), oregano, cumin, and garlic. It originated in the southwestern United States in the late 1800s, where cooks used it to season chili con carne, a specialty dish of that area. Today it continues to be the main seasoning of dishes similar to chili made of ground beef or pork, as well as cocktail and barbecue sauces, eggs, and Mexican dishes.
