BBQ Meatballs

Ingredients

MEATBALLS
2 pounds ground beef
1 pound pork sausage bulk
1 finely chopped onion
1 cup milk
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 cups bread crumbs
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon allspice

SAUCE
1 tablespoon oil
1/4 cup minced onion
8 ounces hot sauce (Tobasco)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

MEATBALLS: Mix all ingredients for "Meatballs". Form into 1" balls. Cook in a single layer in a 350 degree oven for about 20-30 minutes or until browned. Remove and drain.
Can be made a day or so ahead, refrigerated in the crock, and reheated. The sauce doesn't make a lot, just enough to coat the meatballs.

SAUCE: Cook onion in oil till tender. Add remaining ingredients. Simmer 10 minutes. Place meatballs in a crock pot. Pour sauce over and keep warm.
