Turkey Encor

Ingredients

1 (7-ounce) package seasoned stuffing mix
2 cups turkeys cubed cooked or chicken (about 1 lb.)
1 (10-ounce) package frozen broccoli spear cooked, drained and cut in 3/4 -inch pieces
1 teaspoon sage dried leaves, crushed*
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
12 slices American cheese (3/4 oz. each) sliced sharp process
3 eggs
1 (10 1/2-ounce) can chicken broth condensed
1 (5 1/2-ounce) can evaporated milk

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325°. Lightly grease a 2-quart oblong baking dish. In a large bowl, stir stuffing mix, turkey or chicken, broccoli, sage and pepper until combined. Spoon half of the mixture into dish. Top with six slices cheese. Cover with remaining dressing mixture.

In a medium bowl, beat eggs, then beat in chicken broth and evaporated milk. Pour evenly over top. Cover with foil.

Bake for 50 minutes or until top is set. Arrange remaining six slices of cheese over top. Bake, uncovered, 3 minutes longer or until cheese melts.

*If using fresh, use three times the amount of dried herb or to taste. Fresh herbs should be chopped or minced.
