Taco Party Mix

Ingredients

12 cups popcorn unsalted
4 cups crispy rice cereal bite-size squares
1 cup nuts or peanuts
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup brown sugar packed
1 (1 1/4-ounce) package taco seasoning mix

Directions:

* Something different that's sure to be a hit for all ages. Preheat oven to 300°.

In a large bowl, mix popped corn, rice cereal and nuts. Pour butter over mixture stir to coat.

In a small bowl, stir brown sugar and taco seasoning mix until blended. Sprinkle over popped corn mixture toss to mix well. Spread evenly in two ungreased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly roll pans.

Bake for 5 minutes stir. Bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until brown sugar is melted and mixture is heated through.

Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Generously line a decorative tin or stein with plastic wrap. Fill with the mix. Pull corners of wrap together and tie with ribbon or cord. Attach a jingle bell whimsical gift tag.
