Spicy Apple Drink Mix

Ingredients

1 pint vanilla ice cream softened
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
1 cup butter or margarine, melted
apple juice
cinnamon stick if you wish

Directions:

1. Place ice cream, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in an electric blender container or food processor bowl. Cover container or bowl. Turn blender or processor on and blend or process until smooth. (Turn machine off a few times and scrape mixture off the sides.)

2. Turn processor on and slowly add melted butter or margarine in a steady stream and process until blended.

3. Mixture can be frozen at this point. Scrape mixture into empty ice cube trays. Place in the freezer until frozen. Pop ice cubes into a reclosable plastic freezer bag. Mixture can be frozen up to 1 month.

To Prepare One Serving: Heat apple juice. Place 2 tablespoons or one cube of mixture in a mug. Add 1 cup of the apple juice and stir with a cinnamon stick, if you wish, or a spoon.

Note: Butter or margarine can be melted in a microwave oven. Also, 1 cup of apple juice and 1 cube of mix can be heated in a mug in a microwave oven at 100% power (700 watts) for 1 minute 45 seconds to 2 minutes or until steaming.
