Peanut Butter Slice-and-Bake

Ingredients

1 cup margarine
1 cup chunky peanut butter
1 cup brown sugar packed
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Cream margarine, peanut butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt, then gradually add to creamed mixture. Divide dough into four equal portions. Form into 2" diameter rolls and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill at least 4 hours or overnight.

Preheat oven to 350°. Slice 1/4 -inch thick. If desired, make crisscross design on top. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 9 dozen.
