Orange Dessert Sauce

Ingredients

2/3 cup granulated sugar or packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/4 cups orange juice concentrate
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (11-ounce) can mandarin orange segment drained (optional)
1/3 cup orange liqueur
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a small saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch. Add orange juice and stir until sugar dissolves. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute or until shiny and slightly thickened. Remove from heat.

Stir in butter or margarine until melted. Stir in liqueur and vanilla until well blended. Add oranges. Serve sauce warm or at room temperature over vanilla or chocolate ice cream or ice cream-filled crepes.
