Olive Cheese Ball

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened
8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese shredded and at room temperature (about 2 cups)
1/2 cup green olives chopped stuffed
2 tablespoons parsley minced
1 tablespoon green onion minced, including some green
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup walnuts finely chopped
Crackers

Directions:

At least 1 1/4 hours or up to 24 hours before serving:

In a small mixer bowl at medium speed, beat cream cheese until fluffy. At low speed, gradually beat in Cheddar cheese until blended.

Stir in olives, parsley, green onion and hot pepper sauce until well mixed. With moist hands, form mixture into a ball. Roll in nuts to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or up to 24 hours. If making more than 3 hours ahead, remove from refrigerator 1 hour before serving to soften.

Serve with crackers.
