1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon ground
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
Colored sprinkles

Directions:

Lightly grease an 8 x 1 1/2 -inch round cake pan with shortening. With sharp scissors, cut the loaf in half crosswise. Take each half and cut into four equal pieces. Cut each piece into three equal pieces to give you 24 pieces in all.

In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon with a spoon.

Dip a piece of dough into the melted butter or margarine and roll in the sugar mixture until coated all over. Place inside the edge of the cake pan. repeat with remaining dough pieces, forming a ring in the cake pan. Pour any leftover butter or margarine over the ring. Sprinkle with any remaining sugar mixture. Cover with a piece of waxed paper and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, until almost doubled, about 45 to 60 minutes.

Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown and edges are dry.

Remove pan from oven and turn upside down onto a large plate to let the ring fall out. Sprinkle with colored sprinkles. Let cool for 20 to 30 minutes. To eat, break apart with your fingers.
