Herb Bread Spread


Serves: 5

Ingredients

1 cup butter real, softened
2 tablespoons green onions finely chopped
2 tablespoons olives finely chopped
2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped fresh
1 teaspoon basil dried basil leaves, crushed
1/2 teaspoon each dried thyme, marjoram and tarragon leaves, crushed
1 loaf French bread

Directions:

In a small bowl combine butter, green onion, olives, parsley and herbs. Cover and chill for several hours.

Preheat oven to 350° F. Slice bread diagonally almost through to bottom crust. Spread cut surfaces of slices with mixture. Place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until lightly toasted. Serve warm.
