Ginger Dressing

Ingredients

3 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
1/2 cup olives or vegetable oil, or 1/4 cup of each

Directions:

* For a basic fruit dressing, make the basic dressing below using fresh lemon juice in place of vinegar, omitting pepper, and adding 1/4 cup honey and a dash of hot pepper sauce. Blend well. Flavor improves if allowed to stand 1 to 2 hours. Basic French or Vinaigrette Dressing * In a small bowl, mix vinegar, salt, and pepper let stand 1 to 2 minutes to dissolve. Adding oil slowly, stir or whisk until well blended. Vinegar, salt, and pepper can be adjusted according to taste. Shake or stir before serving. Stir 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger into small amount of basic fruit dressing until smooth add remaining dressing and blend well.
