Five Minute White House Dessert

Ingredients

1 frozen pie crust frozen, thawed
1 (1-pound) can sliced peaches pineapple, or other fruit, drained
1 (3 3/4-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding regular prepared according to package instructions
butter or margarine
sugar

Directions:

Heat oven to 500° F. Remove pie dough from pan and cut into 1-inch wide strips. Place fruit in same pie pan from which frozen shell was removed. Cover with pudding and strip top of pudding with crust. Dot crust with butter or margarine and sprinkle with sugar. Place on rack in upper 1/3 of oven. Bake for 5 minutes or until pie strips are browned. Watch carefully. Cool before serving.
