Eye-Opener Slush

Ingredients

2 tea bags
2 1/2 cups water boiling
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup brandy
1 (6-ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate partially thawed
1 (6-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate partially thawed (about 3/4 cup)
1 (1-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda chilled

Directions:

At least 24 hours or up to 1 week before serving: Place tea bags in a 4-cup heatproof bowl add boiling water and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bags. Add sugar and stir until dissolved. Cool to room temperature.

In a 1 1/2 -quart freezer container, stir cooled tea, brandy, orange juice concentrate and lemonade concentrate until concentrates are melted. Cover and freeze at least 24 hours (mixture will still be slushy after 24 hours).

Just before serving: Fill tall glasses half full with slush fill with soda.

*Bourbon or vodka can be used in place of brandy if desired.
