Eat-your-heart-out Fudge

Directions:

"If you want more peanuts in your fudge, stir in about 1/2 cup chopped peanuts with the peanut butter."

1. Cut a piece of foil big enough to fit inside and up over the edges of an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan or dish. Place foil in pan and press against bottom, sides and corners to fit the pan.

2. Stir in a large microwavable bowl, 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/4 cup milk, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.

Add 1/2 cup butter or margarine.

3. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power (700 watts) for 1 minute. Stir. Microwave at 100% power for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir. Microwave at 100% power 1 1/2 minutes longer or until bubbling. Total cooking time is 4 minutes.

4. Bowl Will Be Hot. Use hot pads and place directly on a wooden board or heatproof surface.

5. Quickly add and stir until melted and blended, 1 package (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups), 3/4 cup chunky peanut butter, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.

6. Spoon mixture into foil-lined pan or dish. Use the back of a spoon to press mixture into an even layer.

7. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours or until firm enough to cut. Peel off foil. Cut fudge into small squares.
