Easy-does-it Apple Crisp

Serves: 4

Ingredients

Directions:

"Any flavor of fruit pie filling can be used - blueberry, peach, apricot, raspberry or cherry. If you are going to use cherry pie filling, leave out the lemon juice and add 1/4 teaspoon almond extract."

1. In a 1-quart microwavable baking dish that has sides about 2 inches high, stir 1 can (20 oz.) instant apple pie filling and 2 teaspoons lemon juice.

Set aside until later.

2. Place in a small microwavable bowl 1 tablespoon butter or margarine.

3. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% power (700 watts) for 30 seconds or until melted.

4. Place in a small bowl 2 packets (single-size serving each) instant flavored oatmeal.

If the flavor you are using has raisins in it, pick out the raisins and stir them into the pie filling. If there are no raisins, skip Step 4.

5. Stir oatmeal into melted butter or margarine along with 1 tablespoon brown sugar.

Stir until well mixed. Evenly spoon mixture over pie filling.

6. Microwave, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Turn baking dish one-half turn. Microwave at 100% power 2 minutes longer or until very bubbly.

7. Serve warm with Ice cream or whipped topping.
