Cocoa Frosting

Ingredients

1 2/3 cups powdered sugar
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
dash salt
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 tablespoons milk or half-and-half
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional milk or half-and-half (optional)

Directions:

* Cooking Time: About 1 minute Power: 50% (350 watts) Standing Time: 2 to 3 minutes Into a medium bowl, sift powdered sugar, cocoa powder and salt set aside.

Place butter and 1 1/2 tablespoons milk in a 4-cup microwavable measuring cup or bowl. Microwave, uncovered, at 50% power (350 watts) for 1 to 1 1/4 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir in powdered sugar mixture and vanilla until blended. Let stand to cool for 2 to 3 minutes (mixture will thicken slightly as it cools). Beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Add additional milk, a drop at a time, if too thick.

Spread onto cooled brownies, a 9-inch single layer cake or one dozen cupcakes.
