Browned Butter Icing

Serves: 5



In a small heavy skillet over medium heat brown 2 tablespoons real butter, taking care not to burn. Remove from heat stir in 1 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Add 1/2 to 1 tablespoon half-and-half, enough to make a pourable glaze.
