SUCCESS TIP
We found from our testing that the same amount of yeast is needed for both the 1 1/2-pound and 2-pound loaves.

DID YOU KNOW?
Wheat germ, which is the embryo of the wheat berry, is a good source of vitamins, minerals and protein. It also adds a nice nutty flavor to this applesauce bread. Wheat germ contains oil, so it can turn rancid quickly if not stored properly. After it is opened, keep it in the refrigerator, and be sure to taste it before adding it to the recipe.
