Ham and Cheddar Strata

Ingredients

12 slices bread
2 cups cut-up fully cooked smoked ham
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
4 green onions sliced
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce
6 eggs
paprika

Directions:

1. Trim crusts from bread. Arrange 6 bread slices in greased rectangular baking dish, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Layer ham, cheese and onions on bread in dish. Cut remaining bread slices diagonally into halves arrange on onions.
2. Beat milk, mustard, pepper sauce and eggs until smooth pour evenly over bread. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake immediately, or cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
3. Heat oven to 300° degrees. Bake uncovered until center is set and bread is golden brown, 60 to 70 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
