Ingredients

1 teaspoon plain yogurt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups Rose Petals
2 1/2 cups purified water
2 teaspoons almonds
2 tablespoons honey
1 apple
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons honey

Directions:

For the Dry Skin Facial you will need all the ingredients above to create the cleanser, toner, scrub and mask. It is easiest to make all of your treatments first before starting. For this treatment youÕll need to have the Rose Water Toner prepared a few hours before you plan to start your facial.

Step One: Yogurt Normal Skin Cleanser - Mix together baking soda and plain yogurt in a small bowl. Gently massage onto your skin in circular motions for 1-2 minutes. Rinse face with cool water to remove.

Step Two: Rose Water Toner - Remove the rose petals from about 2-3 roses and rinse in cool water. Place the rose petals in a stockpot and pour purified water over. Stir a bit, as the petals may want to float on top of the water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling remove from heat and cover. Let the pot cool covered for at least 1 hour. Strain rose water into a clean jar or spray bottle. Spray directly onto the skin or soak into a cotton ball and then apply to the skin. For longer lasting rose water toner, refrigerate.

Step Three: Almond Honey Scrub - Blend the egg and olive oil until you have light yellow froth. In a food processor or blender grind your almonds into a fine meal. Mix the almond meal with at least 3 tbsp of your egg mixture. You can make the mixture thinner or thicker by adding or taking away the egg mixture. Place this in a small bowl until you are ready to use in your facial. Gently massage onto clean dry skin. Leave the scrub on the skin for 10 minutes or less, and then rinse with cool water.

Step Four: Steam open your pores with a pot of boiling water. Splash your skin with a little hot water from the faucet.

Step Five: Apple Mask - Core and cut up apple then process in a food processor or blender along with lemon juice. Add honey and process until only small chunks remain. Put your mask in a small bowl until you are ready for this step of your facial. Pat the mixture onto the skin, avoiding the eye area and leave on face for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Depending on how juicy your apply is you may like to use fewer apple slices. To finish your facial, apply your favorite moisturizer.
