I was disappointed when it went to a subscription model
QUESTION:
I have used the various iterations of Cook’n and have been collecting cookbooks since 1999, when the program was only available onCD’s. With my personal cookbooks I have 324–well over 100,000 recipes. Many innovations and added functionality over the past quarter century, cross-platform development among the most important. I was disappointed when it went to a subscription model, but what software hasn’t these days. However, the nominal cost to be able to sync across all platforms is worth it. I sync my desktop, laptop, iPhone and my wife’s android. It works sesmlessly. Add one of the most responsive customer support teams I have ever worked with, I wholeheartedly recommend this program! - UncleTJ
RESPONSE:
Thank you so much for your incredible 5-star review and for being with us since the CD-ROM days—what a journey! It’s truly inspiring to hear how you’ve built such an impressive collection of cookbooks and recipes over the years. We’re especially glad that the cross-platform syncing has made it easy to access and manage everything across your devices—and your wife’s too!
We understand the hesitation around the shift to a subscription model, and we really appreciate your perspective and continued support. Keeping Cook’n running smoothly and improving it year after year wouldn’t be possible without amazing users like you. And thank you for the kind words about our support team—we’ll be sure to pass that along!
We’re honored to be your go-to recipe organizer and look forward to supporting your cooking adventures for many more years to come.
