Halloween Charcuterie Board Ideas!

It’s not too late to plan your Halloween parties! An easy way to take your snack spread up a notch without spending hours baking up a storm is assembling charcuterie boards!

I love charcuterie boards- because everybody loves them! There’s a reason they’re so trendy right now. You can serve a variety of foods, the presentation is relatively simple to put together but can make such an impact too! There’s something about a charcuterie board that just makes food more appealing- I can usually get my kids to try something they wouldn’t normally try when it’s presented in a fun way on a board!

Halloween is no exception. You can create so many different boards that stick with a Halloween theme!

  • An all black board- Throw on some black licorice, Oreos, blocks of dark chocolate, olives, black grapes, blackberries, and black jellybeans for an easy board! You could add food coloring to bread to make it black if you want to add more options, or roll cookie dough in crushed Oreos for a super tasty addition. Throw in a few candy eyes for good measure!
  • If you’d like more colors, add some purple and green! Festive sugar cookies, purple or green grapes, celery, sugar snap peas, and some different purple and green M&M’s would all be simple and tasty additions.
  • Sticking with our color theme, you could also go with an orange board! You could arrange them anyway you want, but might I suggest making a giant pumpkin face like the picture above? I saw this idea on thebakermama.com and thought it was so cute! And orange foods are easy to find, so you can really make it your own.
  • How about a candy board? I mean, that’s basically what Halloween is for, right? Sure the kids will get plenty of goodies trick-or-treating, but what about the adults and all those who don’t get to trick-or-treat? Instead of just throwing the candy into a bowl, arrange them in a decorative pattern of your choosing to make it extra special!
  • Ghosts are super cute- and you could easily create a board featuring plenty of these little guys! Ghost peeps and candies are simple enough, and you can make your own ghosts with pretty much anything you want and a little creativity! With melted white chocolate and mini chocolate chips you could create ghosts with strawberries, Nutter Butters, Oreos, graham crackers, pretzel sticks etc. Savory ghosts could be created with string cheese and permanent markers or quesadillas and cookie cutters. This could be such a cute board!
  • Mixing the ideas of colors and monsters, make a skeleton board! Use white food (and black for the eyes and mouth) to create a giant skull shape. White foods could include popcorn, mozzarella cubes, white fudge dipped pretzels, macadamia nuts, shredded coconut, powdered donuts, cauliflower, marshmallows, etc.
  • Make a “monster” themed board- Monster cookies, monster cookie dough (because who doesn’t love M&M’s and peanut butter??), cookie monster fudge (just make it blue and add chocolate chip cookies and eyeballs)- this would definitely be a tasty board!
  • You know all those nasty appetizers, like hot dog fingers or meatball eyeballs? Create a gory spooky board using all those tasty, gruesome-looking appetizers. This would be particularly fun for an adult party!
Really, you can make anything a Halloween board! Just add candy eyeballs, plastic spiders, or a skull/hand decoration to finish the look!

Which of these boards sounds most fun to you? Or do you have any other spooky ideas? Share with us below!
