For extra smooth, well-mixed oil and vinegar salad dressing: Combine all ingredients in a screw top jar, add ½ teaspoon mayo for every ½ cup vinaigrette (it will act as an emulsifier and keep everything together) , add an ice cube and shake well - then discard what's left of the ice cube.
