Give-Aways

I have spent the last 2 hours reading your newsletter and wonderful recipes. I have already printed a whole bunch I want to try. I love them because they are using ingredients one has on hand. I love that and just wanted you to know how much we appreciate all your hard work in putting together this newsletter. Thank you very much.

What is Accent?

Hi,

I just bought "Cook'n Fix & Forget" and several recipes,

- Bar-B-Q'd Pork Steaks
- Bbq Pork Steaks or Chops
- Beef Short Ribs with Vegetables

just to name a few, list the ingredient "accent". What is this?

Jane Gueguen

Hi Jane,

Accent is also known as MSG, a flavor enhancer, often used in oriental cooking. Many people are allergic to it, and so it is not often used anymore. You can opt to leave it out if you wish. It does impart some salt, however, so taste your recipe during cooking to see if you think a dash or two of salt would boost the flavor.

Happy Cook'n,
