3 Ways to Grocery Shop Online

Online shopping is all the rage! But you do need to be intentional and learn about the various programs to decide a great option for you, and how you’ll realistically use it! Once you get going with online grocery shopping it will be hard to go back!

Amazon Prime Now

If you have Amazon Prime, then you already pay for their “Now” service. Check to see if Prime Now is offered in your city, and start celebrating if it is! They offer free 2 hour delivery on a host of Amazon items, including pantry items. In some areas they also deliver from local grocers. In my area, Amazon shoppers collect your shopping list items from either the local Amazon warehouse or a local Sprouts, and deliver it within a 2 hour window. It’s magic. I often order diapers from here in a crunch, and add in emergency groceries while I’m at it! If the shopper can’t find an item you’ve requested, they text you about a reasonable replacement to get instead. Once, I placed my order from the line at a kid’s amusement park, and our dinner ingredients were delivered 20 minutes after I got home. Like I said, it’s magic! A $5 tip is included in the service, but you can easily change the tip to your preferred amount.

Walmart Grocery Delivery or Pickup

Walmart’s grocery delivery has the best prices and widest variety of food I know about. I just tried this service for the first time last month and it is definitely a game changer. I made my meal plan, and then entered each item into the Walmart search feature and quickly added things to my cart. I needed to buy clam sauce for a shrimp dish I was making and it was so easy to just type in “clam sauce” and have it instantly populate instead of wandering the isles with misbehaving kids, in search of that last random item!

They offer pick up service where you place your order online, then you drive to that Walmart within your pick up window and people load your groceries into your car for you. In select areas, they also offer free delivery where you purchase your items online and they drop them off at your door. No tip requested. It just doesn’t get easier than that! They offer a coupon for $10 off your first order, just to get you going! If you’re not sold on this, just give it a try so you know for yourself and can decide whether it’s a good fit for you. I’m confident it will be!

Google Express

When I first moved to the bay area in California I kept noticing Google Express vans driving around, and then hearing about friends who never went to Costco but shopped via Google instead! A company who tackles Costco for you?! This I had to learn about! Upon further research, I learned that they shop at not just Costco, but Walmart, Target, Ulta, Walgreens, Home Depot, Joann, Khols, Staples, Whole Foods and many more stores! There is no membership fee, and free shipping (once you hit the stores minimum). There is often a coupon code for your first use, right now it is $15 off your purchase of $55 or more.

This is a great way to get exceptionally big and/or heavy items delivered for free! Let me know in the comments if you give any of these services a try, I’d love to hear how it goes!
