Dedicated to all those who have to get the holiday dinner on the table before the kickoff.

A college football coach recruited a talented player, but the player didn't pass the school's entrance exam. Needing the recruit badly, the coach approached the dean to ask if the student could take an oral test instead of the written one. The dean agreed, and the following day found the recruit and the coach seated in his office.

"All right" the dean started, "tell me what eight times seven is."

The football player hesitated, fretted it over and then said, "I think its 56."

"Please, Dean," the coach jumped from his chair and begged, "give him another chance!"
