Taco Soup

Serves: 8

   1 pound ground beef
   1 onion chopped
   1 package taco seasoning mix
   1 16-ounce can corn cut
   1 16-ounce can kidney beans drained and rinsed
   1 28-ounce can stewed tomatoes
   1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
   3 cups tortilla chips
   1 cup cheddar cheese, grated


Brown ground beef in heavy saucepan. Drain. Saute chopped onion; add to ground beef. Stir in taco seasoning, corn, kidney beans, stewed tomatoes, and tomato sauce. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes. Serve topped with tortilla chips and grated cheese.
