8 Delicious Ways to use Croissants

I can’t resist the fresh croissants at Costco lately. They are so flaky and delicious and so versatile too. There are plenty of ways to make them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

There are 8 kids in my family and we had quite the busy and exiting time back in 2001 when all three of my oldest sisters got married within six months of each other! And my mom did most of the wedding stuff all by herself--before Pinterest was there. She is Wonder Woman, I tell you what! Anyway, for all three of those wedding receptions she used those croissants from Costco and made some yummy chicken salad to go in them. They were a hit.

So ever since those days, they remind me of my beautiful bride sisters and my amazing mom :)

Like I said, croissants are so versatile. Here are a few other fun ways to use them:

French Toast.

Leave it to the Pioneer Woman to think of something this brilliant. Slice croissants in half (the rounder ones, the better) and use that for your bread for your favorite French toast recipe. Top with fresh berries and whipped cream!

Pesto Goat Cheese.

How about a savory little to-go pocket that’s ready whenever you are? Try filling a croissant with goat cheese (or another soft cheese) and pesto and you won’t be sorry!

Apple Pie for Breakfast.

Saute an apple with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter and put inside a croissant with a little whipped cream on top. Easy apple for breakfast! That’s always a win in my book!

Fried Egg Croissant.

This is a quick and easy breakfast sandwich fill with sliced cheddar, fresh basil leaves, tomato and a fried egg. This is something that is really easy to prepare for guests ahead of time, just saving the fried egg for right before eating.

Apple Tuna Salad.

Similar to my mom’s chicken salad croissant, using apples with the tune is perfect because the sweetness and crunch from the apples really balance out the fishy taste of the tuna.

Bananas Foster French Toast.

If you really want to take your croissant French toast up another level, make bananas foster to put on top, then add a big dollop of fresh whipped cream and top it off with some caramel sauce.

Croissant Panini.

Make quick and easy paninis filled with smoked Gouda, Parmesan, salami and arugula then grill until the cheese oozes out the sides.

Ham ‘n’ Swiss Croissants with a Twist

Grill up some mushrooms and onions to add to traditional ham and cheese croissants to bring a whole new dimension to them.
